"Exploring Student Housing Markets: A perspective from Private Landlords"

UIPI is seeking to gather insights from private landlords regarding the student accommodation market, including its international aspects. We aim to understand the challenges and incentives that influence the attractiveness of this market for the private rented sector.

The survey delves into the challenges and incentives influencing the attractiveness of the student accommodation market for the private rental sector and comes in response to the findings of the HousErasmus+ research project, which sheds light on the difficulties faced by students in finding suitable accommodation for international mobility.

It is conducted in the context of the HOME² EU-funded project, a flagship project within Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission. HOME² seeks to improve the quality and accessibility of student housing through various initiatives, including updating student housing quality labels and enhancing a user-friendly housing solution in the Erasmus+ App.

The survey is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Greek and Finnish,  and will run until Friday 31 May 2024. The outcome of the study will be published later this year and will contribute to shaping a better student rental market that works both for students and housing providers.
