Housing has become a key priority on the EU agenda, with institutions increasingly seeking to address affordability, accessibility and long-term sustainability. Yet, evidence-based policymaking requires a clearer understanding of how different generations experience and perceive the housing market.
This is particularly relevant for young Europeans, who are among the groups most affected by current housing challenges. Rising prices, limited supply and growing affordability pressures are making access to property ownership increasingly difficult across the European Union. Understanding their views is therefore essential to help shape policies that reflect real needs and expectations.
To contribute to this effort, UIPI is inviting young people across Europe to take part in a short 5-minute, anonymous survey that explores the aspirations, motivations and barriers young people face when it comes to owning homes, flats, commercial spaces and other types of real estate.
The survey is available in 10 languages: English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish
