European homeowners’ solidarity with Ukraine

European Homeowners' Solidarity with Ukraine

After Russian invasion, more than 2.5 million people have left their home and already fled Ukraine and those numbers will continue to increase in the days and weeks to come.  Many have already found refuge in neighbouring countries, primarily Poland but also Slovakia, Romania and Hungary. In these countries, many families have opened their home and provided shelters for these war refugees.

The UIPI Executive Committee expressed its deepest concerns about the dramatic consequences of this war upon millions of Ukrainians.

We strongly encourage all our organisations and all homeowners of Europe to support and assist the Ukrainian people in any possible way. In order to be able to do so effectively and efficiently, we also call upon the relevant authorities at local, regional and national levels to urgently provide information and ensure mechanisms on how property owners can put their properties at disposal for those at need.
