Scaling up renovations: tools and strategies for Serbia

UIPI and the Network for Restitution Serbia to host workshop on renovation strategies in Belgrade

The International Union of Property Owners (UIPI) and the Network for Restitution Serbia will organise a workshop in Belgrade on 18 September 2025, bringing together local stakeholders to explore practical tools and strategies to support building renovation in the country. The event, Scaling Up Renovations: Tools and Strategies for Serbia, will take place at the Hilton Hotel, Kralja Milana 35, from 09:00 to 11:30.

As Serbia moves forward on its EU accession path, aligning with European renovation goals offers both opportunities and challenges for the national construction and real estate sectors. The workshop will provide insights into recent EU policy developments and explore approaches such as industrialised renovation, the use of one-stop shops, and digital tools like building renovation passports. The session will focus on exploring what’s feasible in the Serbian context and how local actors can be better supported in the transition to an energy-efficient building stock.

The workshop is coorganised with the support of EU-funded projects BuildUPspeed, CondoReno and OneClickRENO.
