UIPI has declared the 10th of December as "World Property Day", to stress the importance of property rights as true and important Human Rights. For 2009 the celebration took place in Paris, on Friday, 11 Dec. in a big reunion of UIPI members from 20 countries and the presidents of the UNPI regional property owners chambers all over France. 2010 UIPI "Property Day" celebration will take place in Dublin, Ireland, organized by the IPOA (www.ipoa.ie), as a Belgian Presidency european event, through the efforts of Haus & Grund, Germany. UNPI President Jean Perrin gave the main speech of the day, titled "L'image de la Propriete Immobiliere dans l'opinion publique", or in english: "The image of property in the public opinion". The UIPI President Stratos Paradias stressed that the legal as well as the moral basis of our struggels is the fact that property right is an internationally recognized Human Right.
Other important speakers took the floor on important matters concerning property rights and property restitution.
