UIPI : Olivier Hamal elected new President of SNP Belgium

Olivier Hamal, a prominent lawyer from Liege, former member of the National Parliament and member of the UIPI Executive Committee, was elected new president of the Syndicat National des Proprietaires of Belgium (SNP), of which he has been for decades an active member and until now vice president. After completing a diploma in accounting at l ' Institut Sainte-Marie, he studied law at the University of Liege.

Since 1985, he is a lawyer at the bar of Liege. From 1987 to 1992, he worked with the Senator, then Member Janine DELRUELLE.

He served on the Municipal Council of Liege from 1989 to 1997. He was re-elected in the elections of October 2006.

Elected on October 9, 1994 provincial Councillor, he became permanent Deputy in charge of Social Affairs and provincial hospitals (Lierneux and La Gleize) in February 1997.

From 1997 to 2006, he has spared no efforts to develop the social policy of the Province of Liege. He was President of the Federation of tourism of the municipality of Liege from 2000 to 2006.

In June 2007, he became member of the National Parliament of Belgium.

Active in Liege life, he is Administrator of SPI +, of the S.C. of the market of Liege and the Maison Liegeoise. Also he is Manager and Director of numerous associations to social, cultural, heritage and memory and citizenship education defence.

Olivier is married and father of three children Ludovic, Laetitia and Severine.
